On October 22, 2015 PEARL community welcomed Dr. Brian Coppola who is Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Chemistry at the University of Michigan. The winner of many different awards, Dr. Coppola introduced to the participants CSIE|UM (Chemical Sciences at the Interface of Education at the University of Michigan). Pronounced “cesium,” CSIE|UM is a comprehensive program whose foundation rests on improving the professional readiness for our students who are interested in academic careers.

 

The talk was followed by a small meet and greet where our community participants had the chance to discuss and ask questions to the guest speaker.
