Professional Practice

When thinking of Professional Practice, it is important to take part in ongoing conferencing with fellow colleagues, making sure each of us are sharing recent news or changes within the field.

Consulting and viewing the Ontario College of Teachers’ standards and rights of employees is crucial in order to know when one stands in their practise, making sure to review and keeping informed of what is new and the latest news and updates on the field.

Developing a relationship with the community building and with everyone working within the school helps establish strong relationships and bonds of trust, care and integrity.

Asking for help and being honest when not understanding or not being clear on a certain point or situation is an important part of the process, especially when beginning ones’ teaching career as a new teacher. I have learned these important key points when attending the ‘Ontario College of Teachers Profession, focusing on the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession.
