A few other artifacts I’ve created for students during my two placements.

Lesson Plan Topic: Introduction to Healthy Eating Habits following Canadas’ Food Guide

Grade Level: Grade 6 https://docs.google.com/document/d/14Pm2l8W5H3jOq__U8EfMv5bDqIbBtpwmU7-f_nFcCp4/edit

This Lesson plan was created for a 6/7 split group. The idea was that students needed to read the Canada Food Guide, while being able to relate the information to their everyday lives. The information of the lesson was presented to students in French.

This is an example of an activity regarding Water usage and community in Ontario, explaining the ways in which water is often used in a harmful manner and how Indigenous communities have suffered from its consequences. We’ve focused on the Mi’kmaq People, exploring their spiritual connection with water.

Lesson Plan: Les systèmes de l’eau et la communauté https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RUxaARf089KqFCZrWD7rdm8xGpogs-5SgQIekCWhZi0/edit

This lesson plan was aimed to explore the ways in which communities across Ontario analyze water quality, maintenance and the steps the Ontario Government takes to promote safe water for all. Students were introduced to local water systems such as the Waste water plant of St. Thomas, Ontario in which they were able to relate to a local perspective and comment on and reflect on the steps local authorities could have taken within the Walkerton, Ontario Water e- coli bacteria contamination disaster.
