Going forward I want to continue to develop my professional skills and knowledge, specifically in the areas of assessment, special education, teaching ELLs, and ecological education. I am currently registered for the AQ “Teaching ELLs Part 1” for the late spring session, starting in May 2021. I hope that this AQ and the knowledge gained in this course will be a stepping stone as I work towards gaining a position at an overseas international school sometime in the next two years. I will continue to stay up to date with current assessment strategies through various channels including through PLNs on Twitter and other media platforms, with a hope of taking the Student Assessment and Evaluation AQ sometime in the next year and a half. Later in the summer of 2021, I hope to register for the Environmental Education Part 1 AQ which I hope will give me more tools for providing environmentally conscious pedagogy that supports students as well as the land they rely on.
