I believe that nursing is an art, just as Florence Nightingale once said “Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation, as any painter’s or sculptor’s work”. I believe in performing to the best of my ability to work tirelessly in providing health care to those in need no matter their physical appearance or socioeconomic status.

I believe that nursing is not just simply a task where a nurse looks after a patient, but something more. It is a communication between people that means more than just changing a wound dressing, asking someone questions about certain medications, or even just another surgery. It is an experience that someone will never forget and a chance to improve someone else’s life for the better. – Selina Goldrick
