During the summer of 2017, I was in Italy teaching English in A.C.L.E camps to children from grades 1-8. My time there was the spark for me to get into teaching. Specifically the moment happened on the last day of my first camp. We had put on a show for their parents. Seeing my students being able to present a small skit entirely in English and seeing how proud they were of all their hard work. After that I simply knew in my core I needed to teach.
