In May 2019 I had just finished my practicum at Lakeshore Discovery Public School. It was such a rewarding experience working with my Grade 5 students that when they mentioned they needed help finding scribes for the EQAO coming up I jumped at the opportunity. This experience was hard. It was hard to just sit there and not to be able to help these students that were asking for help. It reminded me of my younger self full of anxiety writing a test. Since then I have made it part of my teaching style to use more than just tests to assess my students because differentiated instruction should come differentiated assessments.
