My First Card
Today as I packed up the last of my supplies, my mind was racing with how to say goodbye. This was my first practicum of my Bachelors of Education degree so I was not sad that I would not have any more learning opportunities. I was saddened because I had to say goodbye to this experience with these students and this Associate Teacher. Never again was I going to be able to walk into Belle River Public with the same wide-eyed and naive positivity. Instead, I will walk into my next practicum experienced. I will hold my head up high, ask more questions, bring what I have learned so far to gain more knowledge. My next practicum I will create another great experience, but still, it will not be like my first. So when I got home on that last day and I started to unpack my supplies I noticed a card. It was addressed to Ms. Klein, and at that moment it hit me I am a teacher. I now must hold the door open for every student I come across. I must teach every student that crosses my path. I must continue to learn myself because from that on I am Ms. Klein. I am a teacher of the world.
Thank you to my 7/8’s,
Ms. Klein
