Great Beginnings

Great Beginnings

At Great Beginnings, I was in a preschool room. I had multiple activities to do with the children. During my first few days there I noticed the children loved to cut and paste. Some of the children were able to hold and use scissors well, while others could not. For my first activity, I chose to allow the children access to paper, scissors, glue, etc. and let them cut and paste.

Another activity I did with the children at Great Beginnings was changing the sensory bin in the room into a winter theme. We had just had the first big snowfall when the children became very fascinated by the snow. therefore, I thought they would enjoy some “snow” inside as well.

A few other activities I did while at my placement was making puppets, putting in a small word area, and have the children experiment use nonconventional paint brushes
