Certificate in Online and Open Learning (COOL)

To quote the Office of Open Learning website:

The Certificate in Online and Open Learning (COOL) is a flexible post-graduate program offered by the Office of Open Learning to help prepare instructors for designing, developing, teaching and evaluating high quality online, open, hybrid, and technology-enhanced, courses and programs. The program is designed with a high level of flexibility for busy academics and graduate students, allowing them to tailor their learning to their own interests and needs, as well as recognising that there are many different ways to gain knowledge and skills. How long does it take? The program is designed so that it could be completed within one year. We understand that life is messy though, and most people will likely take up to two years to complete. What is the time commitment? The COOL is a post-graduate program that involves independent study, synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities, engagement with literature, creative activities, mentoring, and development of an ePortfolio at the program level. Learners can expect to commit 5-10 hours per week to the program, depending on their personalised learning pathway.
