Volterra Italy !!

Ciao Tutti (Hello Everyone),

Welcome to the first blog of the PhammerHead Chronicles, today I will be discussing about my time arriving here in Italy up until what I have seen in Volterra (the city that I am currently residing in). As you can see with some of the pictures I have posted, it’s a been a whirlwind of emotions from everything to being jet lagged (which was in no way shape or form fun at all lol) to experiencing the fine culture here in Volterra !!!

In the second photo you can see the crazy amount of hills that took like forever to ride up in, the bus was unfortunately very poorly ventilated (felt like I was going to puke every 5 minutes) but it was worth it to see all this amazing scenery. In the third photo, you’ll see the Piazza dei Priori (which is like a main square located in the center of the city) and a lot of the town’s events is held in this main area (I’ll hope to catch some photos of it later). In the fourth picture, you can see the place where I will be staying and this dorm was apparently the first alabaster school (alabaster is a type of rock that are only found in this city), originally built in 1850,  but was re-built into a residential dormitory, with funding from the University of Detroit Mercy, to house international students to study abroad. And in the last picture, you can see a top view of Volterra that I took from one of the back windows in the dorm to showcase the beautiful scenery of Volterra, Italy.

As you can see, Volterra is a very beautiful city and I am already seeing many interesting/amazing things to which I hope that through this blogging site, you will too.

Ciao Mondo !!! (Hello World !!!)
