Dr Tranum Kaur
As a university faculty, Dr. Tranum Kaur has over 13 years of teaching experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Kaur is currently associated with the Master of Medical Biotechnology program at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Windsor, ON, Canada. She has designed, developed, and delivered several new courses and promoted active pedagogical learning practices, experiential learning field based learning, created open textbook as an open education resource, developed immersive H5P interactive case-based exercises and facilitated clicker-based evaluation quizzes. Tranum is passionate in advancing equity, inclusivity and diversity on campus and beyond. Dr. Kaur is recipient of several prestigious awards including Dean of Science Recognition (2015), Roger Thibert Teaching Excellence (2017), and Excellence in Mentoring Award (2018). nominated for the “U” Make A Difference Award, nominated for the Student Mentoring Award (2021), Inclusive Excellence Employee Recognition Award (2023), and Dr. Alan Wright Award for Exemplary Digital Teaching Award (2023).
Ramez Ahmed
Ramez Ahmed, is a Medical Biotechnology Master’s student at the University of Windsor, ON, Canada. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India. He has worked in both medical and marketing department of a biopharmaceutical company. His passion lies in the intersection of where science meets business. His knowledge in scientific writing and management has helped him serve his role as in academic integrity resource development for this project.
Wei Liu
Wei Liu, is a Medical Biotechnology Master’s student at the University of Windsor, ON, Canada. He obtained his previous medical degree (Bachelor in Medicine) from North Sichuan Medical College, Sichuan, China and practiced for more than 10 years as a physician, radiologist and technician in Beijing. He also worked as a part of Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) system operation and maintenance engineer, also he was the coordinator between PACS service company and hospital department. He was excellent trained on problem solving, team work, as well as in medicine and diagnostic imaging area. As a graduate student now, he can easily combined his medical background to Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industries. All of these characteristics and experiences made him serve his role as a research assistant focusing on research finding, copyright issues, html web design and IT problems in this PEARLS Grant Project.
