Welcome to my teaching portfolio!

Welcome! The primary goal of my online portfolio is to demonstrate the type of educator I am. As I continue my educational journey after attaining my B.Ed at the University of Windsor, I update my e-portfolio accordingly. As changes occur in me, these same changes are reflected in my e-portfolio. Please feel free to navigate around my site to learn more and contact me if you have any questions.

I was proudly a Leadership Experience for Academic Direction (LEAD) Teacher Candidate, which means that I actively gained experience  and understanding for youth identified as being in-risk. At Northwood, I implemented and ran a social club called Club Connect which catered to English Language Learners. Through my own observation, and those of other teachers, many ELL students were recognized as needing assistance in understanding and practicing communication skills that are crucial to life in Canada. Through fun games and activities, I have been able to assist these students in doing so. Because of this program, I volunteered at my school every week to build my relationships with students and staff, and assist them wherever necessary.

Aside from the activities that I was involved with at Northwood, the LEAD program allowed me to partake in and help run events like the Power of Potential Youth Conference and the Challenge Cup. Below, I am pictured both preparing to be a Master of Ceremony, and speaking in front of the over 300 high school students that were involved in the event.

The picture below was taken of me explaining the craft we had made on Craft Day. I had the students create snow people using socks, rice, glue, and decorations! Pictured is the visuals paired with the steps I had created on a PowerPoint slide to remain visible while students completed their craft. I taught the activity to 40 grade 3s and it was a big success!

Here I am using the demonstration analog clock to assess students’ progression. We made paper clocks together, so on this day I had the students replicate my verbal and written time instructions on their own clocks and then showed and discussed the correct answers on my demonstration clock.
