Teaching Philosophy

As a teacher, I believe it is the student’s classroom. I will strive to analyze every one of my student’s level of education, how they learn best, and what I can do to get them to their next level. I believe every student is different in their own unique way and I will make it my job to solidify their learning space as the most beneficial and productive one possible.

In our ever-changing society, it is important to stay current in modern ways of education. I believe as a teacher your education isn’t finished once you receive your degree. Every day as an educator is a new learning experience and it is necessary that you apply these newly learned skills to yourself and model them for your students. I will be a teacher that students remember as a role-model and having taught them valuable lessons in and out of their curriculum.

I will ensure that my students have a positive environment to look forward to. As a student who loved going to school, I will strive to replicate my same attitudes within students. Education should be expressed as an incredible opportunity and not a mandatory practice. Students should not go to school because they feel obligated, but because they are excited and personally strive to better themselves. I will ensure students enjoy what they are learning and form positive attitudes towards their educational journey.

My main goal as a teacher is to promote learning. I will create a positive and welcoming space to ensure that students are excited about their education. By constantly growing as an educator and working to better myself, I can simultaneously ensure my students are equipped with the proper skills and tools. My students will be put first on my list of priorities, and by practising a student’s classroom, I will be efficient and effective when creating the most beneficial environment possible.

“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires“.

William Arthur Ward
