COACHING WITH LITTLE KICKERS

I have been with Little Kickers since 2017, embarking on a journey that’s taken me from an assistant coach to a lead coach within just a year.

My roles encompassed a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Building Meaningful Connections: I cultivated strong relationships with both the kids and their parents, as well as my fellow co-workers, fostering a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Embracing Constructive Feedback: Regularly, I welcomed constructive criticism, using it as a tool to enhance my coaching practices and continuously improve.
  • Maintenance and Organization: I took charge of ensuring that our equipment and rental facilities were in top-notch condition, guaranteeing a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Dynamic Coaching: I thrived in the spotlight, leading classes while adhering to structured lesson plans, and occasionally injecting creativity through improvisation to keep the sessions engaging.
  • Diverse Audience: My experience involved working with a diverse group of children ranging from 18 months to 7 years old, hailing from various cultural backgrounds, adapting my approach to suit their unique needs.

In recognition of my dedication and hard work, I was promoted to the position of Head Coach Manager in 2020. In this role, my responsibilities expanded to include:

  • Coaching Oversight: While I still occasionally coach, my primary focus shifted towards managing other coaches, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Curriculum Development: I took charge of creating comprehensive lesson plans that would enrich the learning experience for all the children involved.
  • Scheduling and Logistics: I became responsible for organizing and managing class schedules, ensuring the smooth operation of our programs.
  • Quality Assurance: I played a vital role in maintaining and elevating the quality of our classes, ensuring they met the high standards set by Little Kickers.
  • Coach Evaluation: I regularly assessed and provided feedback to other coaches, helping them grow and improve in their roles.
  • Parent Communication: Building and maintaining strong lines of communication with parents became a crucial aspect of my role, ensuring that their expectations were met and their concerns addressed.

My journey with Little Kickers has been incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the growth and success of the organization in the years to come.
