Team building activities can be a powerful way to develop collaboration and trust, improve motivation, nurture strengths, and address weaknesses. These are all skills that students can use in the future.
Mat Race

In this cooperative activity students are in groups of 4-5 with two mats at the starting point. Without touching the ground they have to maneuver the mats a way that gets them to the other side of the gym. This activity requires teamwork, collaboration, and communication. They have to work together to move the mat so they can all cross safely. This built multiple skills while participating in a fun, friendly competition activity.
