Anchor charts are a great tool in supporting instruction/teaching. This is a great way together, as a class, to remember and reflect on important content and relevant strategies. I believe this is an important part of teaching as it allows students to review what they learned and provide constant support in their learning experience.
Persuasive Writing
St. Christopher Catholic Elementary School
AT – Mrs. Rina Testa-Planke
March/April 2022
This anchor chart was made at my second practicum at St. Christopher Catholic Elementary School. I was teaching the students persuasive writing. For them to remember the format within their practice activities and phrases that could help their writing we created this anchor chart together so that they could look at it when needed or be reminded as they look at the class.
Dance Success Criteria
Notre Dame Catholic Elementary
AT – Mrs. Erin Sementilli
November/December 2022
This checklist was made at my third practicum for a Grade 8 class. This listed the expectations of their dance assignment. It was a constant reminder for what they had to include and I consistently made reference to it. For students to succeed they had to create/film a dance that included that listed in the success criteria.
