Welcome to my Educational E-Portfolio!
Hi, my name is Kalene! I am a teacher candidate who recently graduated in 2023 from the Consecutive Junior Intermediate (J/I) Program in the Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor.
My education has mostly been in science related fields, as I got my undergraduate degree in Health Science with Biology, but I have a interest/affinity for all subjects. It is hard to pick just one thing to learn in life and being an educator provides teaching all the while learning these various subjects throughout the years. You also learn about several generations and the technology that is present and the things they find interesting in their lives These are some of the main reasons I look forward to being an educator.
Growing up, family was seen as super important and you would help family out no matter how much they were struggling. Being family oriented, we take care of each other, make sure everyone is heard, and accept each other for who we are. As a future educator, I strive to bring this environment into every classroom I am in. The more others are supported by each other, the easier it becomes to be the best person we can be, growing together.
The outdoors is something that I enjoy and use as family time to get closer with them. Appreciating our world and keeping it beautiful is something I want my future students to recognize. The more activities you do with those who you are surrounded by, the more you can strengthen or build relationships with those individuals.
