Before entering the ritual space, there are certain things you need to bring.

1. Hair as a Sacrifice

The more hair you cut off the more you are mourning. Hair is associated with magical power so Wiccans do not touch their hair unless it is being used as a sacrifice. Wiccan women generally keep their hair up as letting her hair down is seen to unleash power.

2. An Evergreen

The evergreen is to remind the deceased to come back to visit. This also represents the immortality of the soul.

3. 2 Copper Coins for Charon

Charon is the ferryman fro classical mythology. He brings the dead across the rivers into the underworld. The deceased needs to be buried with 2 copper coins to pay Charon for his trip.
