My name is Kaitlyn Dunn. I am a graduate of Early Childhood Education at St. Clair College and Honors, with distinction, Disability Studies Major from the University of Windsor. I am currently fulfilling my lifelong dream in the Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor. A cactus is a plant that takes the least amount of work to keep alive. The shell is covered with prickles to protect itself. This is a good metaphor for resiliency- through the tough, painful times one may face, one can prevail through support, love, and care. As a future educator, I want to model resiliency like a cactus to model to my students that through resilience and support,we can rise from tough times.
