About Me

Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, I always enjoyed being in the classroom. When I was in Grade 3, my teacher would always encourage me to help my peers with their work and the rewarding feeling that these tasks elicited made me realize my passion for teaching. From that point forward, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher.

In June of 2016, I graduated from the University of Windsor with my Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in French Studies and minors in Psychology and Applied Information Technology. I returned to the University of Windsor for two more years at the Faculty of Education during which I served as President of the Education Society, worked a Research Assistant, and spent three months abroad in China teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and researching the pedagogies and perceptions of English language teachers. In May of 2018, I graduated with my Bachelor of Education degree with specializations in the Intermediate/Senior division (Grades 7 to 12), teachable subjects in French as a Second Language and General Social Sciences, and an International Educator Certificate in International Baccalaureate (IB). Since November of 2018, I have been working for the Greater Essex County District School Board as an occasional teacher.

My professional goal is to continue attending professional development workshops to further improve my practises as an educator. My personal goal is to travel more in order to see more of the world through the eyes of people from different cultures.
