Thank you note – April 2023
This was a thank you note from my associate teacher. This was by far the best practicum I have ever had. I learned so much and it made me so much more prepared for my first LTO.
Ceci est une note de remerciement de mon enseignant associé. Ce stage a été le meilleur que j’aie jamais fait. J’ai beaucoup appris et cela m’a permis de mieux me préparer pour mon premier emploi à longue-terme.
Ontario Secondary Literacy Test – March 2023
During my last practicum, I had the opportunity to help out with the Ontario Secondary Literacy Test for grade 10 students. My role during the literary test was to be a scriber for students who had an accommodation. I found this experience very beneficial for me because I had the chance to help a student during the test. The one thing I found that was a challenge was telling the students that all I could do for them was write what they told me to write, I couldn’t help them with anything else.
Lors de mon dernier stage, j’ai eu l’occasion de participer au test littéraire du secondaire de l’Ontario pour les élèves de 10e année. Mon rôle pendant le test littéraire était d’être un scribe pour les élèves qui avaient une accommodation. J’ai trouvé cette expérience très profitable car j’ai eu l’occasion d’aider un élève pendant le test. La seule chose qui m’a posé problème a été de dire aux élèves que tout ce que je pouvais faire pour eux était d’écrire ce qu’ils me disaient d’écrire, je ne pouvais pas les aider pour autre chose.
Holiday Spirit Week – December 2019
This piece of paper is important to me even though it’s just spirit week for the holidays. My entire life I’ve been a student participating in spirit weeks. now I have the chance to be in teacher participating, showing support and engagement in my school and in my students. I LOVED participating in these activities in our last week before the holiday. As a student sometimes you don’t want to participate because you wish to be “cool”, sometimes I was one of those students. Now I have a new appreciation for little things like this; being a part of little things in school and being a part of something.
Ce morceau de papier est important pour moi, même si ce n’est que la semaine de l’esprit pour les vacances. Toute ma vie, j’ai été un élève participant aux semaines de l’esprit. Maintenant, j’ai la chance d’être une enseignante participant, montrant son soutien et son engagement envers mon école et mes élèves. J’ai ADORÉ participer à ces activités au cours de notre dernière semaine avant les vacances. En tant qu’élève, il arrive que l’on ne veuille pas participer parce que l’on souhaite être “cool”, j’étais parfois l’un de ces élèves. Maintenant, j’ai une nouvelle appréciation pour les petites choses comme celle-ci ; faire partie de petites choses dans l’école et faire partie de quelque chose.
