June 20th, 2012– Author James Laxer is invited to speak in Tecumseh before the unveiling of the commemorative Tecumseh & Brock Canada Post stamps.

Laxer’s presentation at the Legion preceded the official unveiling ceremony that was held the following day on June 21st at the Tecumseh Historical Museum.
Local talent, Len Wallace wrote and dedicated a song in commemoration of Tecumseh.

On June 21st, 2012 Laxer was a guest speaker at a local elementary school in Tecumseh, giving the students a short history lesson about a local, historical figure.

I learned so much about the the historical figure we have named a township, roads and institutions in honour of. James Laxer has done a lot of research on both Tecumseh and Brock. This event was an invaluable experience and a great community event. Thanks to the organizers for inviting me out.
