This study will explore South Asian international students’ perspectives on cultural insensitivity at a mid-sized, Canadian, university campus. Researchers will attempt to understand the nuanced experiences of racial bias faced by North Indian students and will highlight the need for cultural awareness training initiatives for university personnel to make Canadian universities collaborative and inclusive spaces.

The principal investigator is Ms. Gagneet Kaur, a recent graduate of the University of Windsor.  Dr. Smith serves as the faculty supervisor for this research project.

This project was recently approved by the University of Windsor Research Ethics Board.
